1) Waking before sunrise and hiking to the top of a mountain.
2) Waiting a couple hours in freezing temperatures for the light to be the best.
3) Sacrificing time with friends to be alone in nature.
Now I realize that not only was it a stepping stone but these images that were captured are just now starting to turn profit. Images from 12 years old on the old film cameras, Velvia 50 for thoses ultra saturated and contrasty images.
Here is an image that at the time I thought was amazing and over a decade of the file sitting in a transparency sleeve it was only a memory getting covered in dust.

Now available to the world it has become of interest to buyers. I realize that many of these images that I consider practice photos 10 years ago are of great value. They are pure, not meant to generate income but just photographed for the love of it.
