State Farm thinks I am to Extreme?

So recently my insurance agent from State Farm (whom I insure my camera gear with) calls me up and says his bosses are a bit concerned with my extreme photography and because they are a conservative company they are don't want to take the risk to insure my gear from breakage. I told him that much of my imagery is an illusion, drama created to make a incredible image. Only if they knew I am standing 5ft from my truck with my camera on a tripod. He said he would tell the the bosses and get back to me. Then they reference to a camping trip I did with some of my buddies on my blog. The disadvantage of going with an insurance company that does not specialize for us nor understands what we do.

I've included some extreme image examples.

Outerspace danger

I think they were concerned about about the solar radiation and stray asteroids you find in space. And there is always the black holes that could suck up one of my cameras...

Volcanoes are not a laughing matter!

Molten lava, hail and cameras just don't mix!!!

Watch out for the giant!

I normally choose not to work with giants because of the unpredictable nature of these fierce beasts. You never know when you could get stepped on!

Anyway, I looked into other specialized insurance and there are much better options for professional photographers and media professionals. You can find good coverage for your equipment and liability insurance at the WPPI website. This would be my recommendation!

Haha, dude this post made me bust out laughing. Only because the giantess is my ex, and it didn't work out for obvious reasons. No matter what I could never feel...man enough. Anywho, yeah, SF pretty much sucks for doing that. If you are still looking, I've heard good things about Tom C. Pickard and Co @ http://www.tcpinsurance.com/photographer.html and Hill and Usher @ www.hillusher.com .
