Run For Your Life!!!

This creation has got to be my favorite to date! I used an image from my triathlete shoot and another from my trip to New Zealand. My camera gear got soaked and I barely out ran the lava:)

Part 2. Triathlete Series

Today we did the swimming series and the clouds were not what I wanted them to be but we still got some great shots. You can scroll down to earlier where you can view the first of the series (biking).

Incredible!!!

I finally got a chance to use my new Nikon D3X. I had this idea of a skater crashing onto the pavement for the last year and here it is. I did not have a model so I did it. I had my girlfriend press the shutter while I hit the deck a dozen times to get the shot. My knees got a little bloody but well worth the image. Check it.

Birthday Bowling Bash

Bowling, beers and good people. I turned 37 on Feb. 3 and had a get together on Feb. 13 at East Village Bowl. It was great fun!

Don't mess with this bowling clan!

Bamboo Yoga

I just finished this series of yoga poses. I used the straight lines of a bamboo forest as a back ground to contrast the beautiful curves of the body in yoga poses. I stylized the bamboo to create a more dreamy and meditative mood. So much beauty to capture! Here are 3 of the 12.

Engagement of Angelique and Nick

A super cute couple in Balboa Park. We just walked around Balboa Park and would stop anytime we saw anything interesting.

Skateboarder

I woke up this morning and starting browsing through some of my images and I came across this skateboard shoot I did several months ago. I didn't really see any potential for portfolio shots the first time around but with a closer look I found this one.

Dramatic movement, popping colors and urban setting!

Triathlete

This is the first part of a triathlon series. I am photographing the amazing Andre Szucs of Brazil. We started off with the cycling. I wanted to capture Andre's strength and determination in this first shot. I chose a background that would not take away from the subject but was still interesting.

Not to portray Andre as a machine, I decided to do a dramatic portrait that shows Andre as a happy person and his contempt on his bicycle.

Please come back to check out the rest of this series. I have some really cool ideas for the swimming and running.
