New Zealand

Just arrived in NZ and so far so good. Landed and went straight to Pahi for a beautiful surf session. The ocean on the west coast is mean. The southern hemisphere has much more water than the northern and it produces some big surf. At Pahi Beach alone there is one drowning per month. I will have to get used to this!

Picking up the campervan today and going to explore the North Island.

My main objectives of this trip are to photograph surfing, fly fishing, and hiking in Tongariro National Park(the mountain they used in the Lord of the Rings, MORDOR, the only place you can destroy the ring). I will update upon my return to the states and hopefully have some incredible images.

Another beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. What could be a better back drop to capture family love. It was two families and the grandparents.
